Aunt Thelma's Bran Muffins

400F

1 1/2 C white sugar
2 eggs
1/2 C oil
2 C all-bran cereal
2 C bran
1 C boiling water
2 C flour
1 1/2 t baking soda
1/2 t salt
2 C buttermilk

Pour boiling water over bran and set aside to cool. Cream together first 3 ingredients. Beat in cereal and bran. Add last 4 ingredients. Batter will keep in fridge up to 6 weeks. Bake 20-25 mins.
